Mashpee Waterways Commission <br /> Minutes of thele ember 12,2013 eeting <br /> Chairman Ken Bates called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM at the Mashpee'Town Hall in <br /> the oclway Meeting Room. <br /> Present: Ken Bates,Bill Taylor,Tim aLeedharn, Paul Zammito and Don MacDonald <br /> Absent;Al Wickel and Steve Pinard <br /> Also present. No others attended <br /> Minutes: <br /> Voted unanimous approval of minutes of the November 12., 2013 meeting. Motion made by <br /> Tim Leedharn,second by Bill Taylor. <br /> Communications and Correspondence: <br /> Ken Bates circulated current mail and correspondence that included plans for a new <br /> walkway over marsh located at 266 l onomoscoy island Rd.A motion was made by <br /> Don MacDonald and seconded by Paul Zammito to vote no on this plan as more <br /> information is required.'Tiny Leedharn abstained from the discussion and vote. <br /> Voted unanimous to confirnr the commissions Consensus vote for Ken to send the <br /> Army Corp of Engineers a letter expressing support of Falmouth's project to dredge <br /> the Waquoit Bay entrance channel. Motion made by'Tiro Leedham and seconded by <br /> Bill'Taylor. <br /> We reviewed plans for the Mashpee Neck Iar m' a Improvement Project.Tim <br /> Le dham recused himself as part of the Waterways commission to speak as a citizen <br /> regarding the plans.Upon review Paul Zammito made the motion to approve the <br /> plan as shorn with Bill Taylor seconding the motion,which was unanimously <br /> approved.The plan includes: <br /> o Improve the bulkheads using natural timbers <br /> o Relocate and build a new ramp <br /> o Relocate the fueling dock next to the new ramp <br /> o Do a maintenance dredging in the existing area <br /> o Add 8 new slips on the end of the existing dock nearest the channel using <br /> f0encap elated"floats <br /> o E3dsting-floats will be replaced as necessary rising the"encapsulated"floats <br /> over time <br /> Harbormaster Report; <br /> Steve lone was not able to attend clue to date charge of the meeting. <br /> Shellfish constable Report: <br />
