Page 3 <br /> ( Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 27, 1991 <br /> Policy for Approval - Appointment of Constables: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to institute the Constable <br /> residency requirement effective; July 1, 1995. After this <br /> date, non-residents will no longer be appointed as Constables <br /> in the Town of Mashpee. Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. <br /> VOTE: 3-1. Selectman Caffyn in opposition. <br /> *Consult Town Counsel re: Training Procedure for new Constables <br /> *Consult Police Chief regarding proposal re: New Constable Training. <br /> *Future Agenda-Appointment of Constables; second draft. <br /> PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> John Ferriday asked the Board of the status of signalization in the area <br /> of Donna's Lane and Job's Fishing Road. Greg Taylor, the Director of <br /> Public Works indicated that he is awaiting response from the State regarding <br /> this area of concern. <br /> It was noted that Chapter 90 funds are not available at this time for road work. <br /> Tom Fudala, the Town Planner indicated that the Traffic Consultant will be <br /> available to review statistical traffic data as it relates to the Transportation Study. <br /> It was noted that Job's Fishing Road is currently a private road. <br /> *Mr. Taylor will prioritize a list of road improvements for the Board's <br /> consideration. Selectman Caffyn recommended to form a Public Safety <br /> Committee to address traffic and road issues of concern. <br /> Noni Ferriday asked of the status of the Flea market as it pertains to <br /> payment of permits. It was noted that the new lease holder has paid all permit <br /> fee's to date. <br /> The town is attempting to collect past due fees from the previous owner <br /> through small claims court noted Mr.Whritenour. <br /> 7:15 p.m. Public Hearing: <br /> Liquor License for Atlantic Seafood Restaurant: <br /> Selectman Mills stepped down for the discussion. It was noted that her <br /> daughter works in the establishment on a part-time basis. <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing on the application of Atlantic <br /> Seafood Restaurant,Inc. d/b/a Atlantic Seafood for an Annual Restaurant <br /> Wine and Malt Beverages License. <br />
