Page 5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 22, 1994 <br /> Execution of Subgrantee Agreement between the Town and <br /> The Community Builders: <br /> Selectman Costa stepped down for the above discussion. <br /> Mr.Whritenour recommended the Board approve the Subgrantee <br /> Agreement between the Town and The Community Builders pending <br /> approval from the Executive Office of Communities and Development <br /> (EOCD) and Town Counsel. <br /> It was noted that the Subgrantee Agreement will allow the Town to <br /> grant funds to Community Builders for the purpose of rehabilitating <br /> the affordable rental housing project known as Mashpee Village. <br /> The contract is based upon the standard EOCD form indicated <br /> Mr. Whritenour. If approved, construction will begin in early fall. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to authorize the <br /> Chairman of the Board of Selectmen to enter into the <br /> Subgrantee Agreement pending approval from EOCD and <br /> Town Counsel as recommended. Motion seconded by <br /> Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Selectman Costa abstained. <br /> PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> In response to Fire Department apparatus on site during the recent <br /> Willowbend Tennis Tournament, the Board is in agreement to schedule <br /> Fire Chief Baker on the agenda of September 12, 1994 to <br /> discuss Fire Department detail work and the effect on staffing levels. <br /> Peg Harsch expressed concern to the North Market Street liquor store <br /> proposal. She recommended to give further thought into the process <br /> because the site is in close proximity to the area schools. <br /> James McGonagle requested the Board take action with regards to <br /> placing Selectmen's meetings on local cable television. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to place the'above on the agenda of <br /> September 12, 1994 for further review and consideration. <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to prepare an article for the Annual <br /> Town Meeting Warrant if there is a cost factor to this proposal. <br /> Noni Ferriday related concerns to the lack of signalization in the area <br /> of Donna's Lane and Job's Fishing Road. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain an update from the Director <br /> of Public Works to address traffic concerns and signalization. <br />
