Draft I - March 16, 1995 <br /> 1994 Town Meeting. <br /> Article 37. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout of Ships Lantern Drive, Clipper <br /> Street, Compass Drive, Topsail Road, Ships Rudder Drive, Ships Wheel Drive, <br /> Davit Road, Porthole Drive, Ships Anchor Drive, and Shipwreck Drive, as public <br /> ways as shown on plans entitled "Compiled Road Taking Plan for Clipper Ship <br /> Village Subdivision in Mashpee,'Bamstable County, Massachusetts", dated January <br /> 25, 1995 by the B.S.C. Group, Inc., which layout shall have been filed in the office <br /> of the Town Clerk, not later than seven days prior to the date of the vote hereunder <br /> and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift, purchase or eminent <br /> domain taking any land necessary for the purposes of such way as so laid out, and to <br /> raise and appropriate, transfer from available funds or borrow a sum or sums for <br /> such purchase or taking including borrowing costs therefore, and to further authorize <br /> the Board of Selectmen to assess betterments to the owners of the land abutting the <br /> ways,or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the DPW Director <br /> Explanation: These roads were petitioned and approved for taking at the October <br /> 1994 Town Meeting. <br /> Article 38. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to grant to the Mashpee Water District, a water <br /> distribution easement over Mashpee-owned land, as shown on the Assessors Map <br /> 73, Lot 33, in order to connect to the water line on Route 151, or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Water District <br /> Explanation: The Water District is requesting this easement to allow the <br /> connection of the Quashnet Valley sub-division to Route 151. This connection will <br /> allow the District to "loop" the water distribution system within the development. <br /> Article 39. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen pursuant to MGL <br /> Page 16 <br />
