Draft 1 - March 16, 1995 <br /> Wildlife Service with a legal interest in a parcel of land, which is required before <br /> they can begin formal operations of the proposed National Wildlife Refuge. The <br /> land would continue to be owned and managed by the Town. <br /> Article 35. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept, pursuant to G.L. C. 82, §21-24, the <br /> relocation and alteration of the layout of Great Oak Road as a public way as shown <br /> on a plan entitled "Great Oak Road Improvement Plan", prepared by Bostwick <br /> Engineering, Inc., which layout shall have been filed in the office of the Town Clerk <br /> not later than seven days prior to the date of the vote hereunder, and to authorize the <br /> Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift, purchase or eminent domain taking any land <br /> necessary for the purposes of such way as so relocated and altered, and to raise and <br /> appropriate, transfer from available funds or borrow a sum or sums for such <br /> purchase or taking, or take any other action relating thereto <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article is necessary to correct defects in the layout of Great Oak ' <br /> Road which create encroachments onto private property. <br /> Article 3 6. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout of High Sachem Road-, <br /> Matchewuttah Road, and Papnommett Road as public ways as shown on plans <br /> entitled "Compiled Road Taking Plan for Sachem Village Subdivision in Mashpee, <br /> Barnstable County, Massachusetts", dated January 25, 1995 by the B.S.C. Group, <br /> Inc., which layout shall have been filed in the office of the Town Clerk, not later <br /> than seven days prior to the date of the vote hereunder and to authorize the Board of <br /> Selectmen to acquire by gift, purchase or eminent domain taking any land necessary <br /> for the purposes of such way as so laid out, and to raise and appropriate, borrow or <br /> transfer from available funds or borrow a sum or sums for such purchase or taking <br /> including borrowing costs therefore, and to further authorize the Board of Selectmen <br /> to assess betterments to the owners of the land abutting the ways, or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the DPW Director <br /> ExPlanation: These roads were petitioned and approved for taking at the October <br /> Page 15 <br />
