As noted by Mr.Fudala, the bus service proposal
was a result of the concerns expressed by the Together we Can Committee.
The lack of public transportation was been a major concern of the
Town of Mashpee indicated Mr.Fudala.
Five routes have been proposed for the summer shuttle service expected E
to begin in late June if approved by the Board. The seventy-three day
service will be provided to the areas known as North Mashpee,East
Mashpee,the Summerfield Park area,John's Pond area and to the South
Cape Beach.
The fare proposed for adults is $1.[0. Senior citizens and children under
the age of eighteen will pay the sum of 50 cents. The sum of$13,000 is estimated as the Town's share.
It was noted that the above estimate is dependent upon the number of
people who ride the summer shuttle.
Selectman Vaccaro opened the Public Hearing to solicit comment.
Juan Bacigalupi recommended to address handicap accessibility.
Mr. whritenour indicated that he will address this concern.
Being no further comment, Selectman Vaccaro closed the Public Hearing. }
