Page 10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 22, 1995 <br /> } <br /> ' I <br /> APP ND HEARING t <br /> } <br /> Public Hrg - .mer ShutU"ervice: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to support the Summer <br /> Shuttle Service as proposed utilizing the estimated sum of <br /> $13,000 from the State's cherry sheet. <br /> Motion seconded by selectman Mills. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Recess: 8:20 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 8:32 p.m. <br /> Andrgw li • Hydr..QIoeX..Qf Mash k n • <br /> Andrew Gottlieb,Director of the Watershed Management division of the <br /> Department of Environmental Protection was present to discuss the <br /> hydrology of Mashpee/Wakeby Pond with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb discussed his memo of May 12, 1995. In addition to <br /> the memo,the Board reviewed communication as submitted by the <br /> Director of Public Works relative to the 10 year history of ground water <br /> elevations dated May 18, 1995. (enclosed) <br /> Mr. Gottlieb recommended to consider alternative approaches to manage <br /> lake water levels to benefit herring migration and minimize shoreline <br /> erosion. <br /> The use of fiber rolls in Conjunction with the planting of native plants <br /> are a soft solution to shoreline management indicated Mr. Gottlieb. <br /> He recommended to develop a water management plan for the Town. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to ground water elevations and the <br /> chart submitted by Mr. Taylor. <br /> Robert Sherman,the Conservation Agent requested assistant with DEP <br /> to expedite filing procedures to streamline the Chapter 91 process. <br /> QL�D DM INE S• <br /> r r • <br /> The Board reviewed the proposed License to Enter and Use Real <br /> Property permitting the maintenance and use of existing docks and <br /> piers across Town-owned property as submitted by Town Counsel. <br /> *Consensus of the Board to establish a License Fee prior to approval. <br /> I <br />
