Page 6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 16, 1995 <br /> APPO—INTMENTS AND INGS <br /> Jane Coogan - Rotary: <br /> Communication was received from Greg Taylor dated September 14, 1995 <br /> relative to projected annual rotary maintenance costs. Mr. Taylor has <br /> projected an $14,800y • <br /> p J annual fee of to maintain the rotary from April to <br /> October. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the rot project and related <br /> �'y J P . <br /> landscape. Several matters of concern addressed by the Selectmen include <br /> the annual placement of Christmas lights, the VFW memorial and the <br /> Vietnam Veteran's flag pole that exist on the rotary site. <br /> Selectman Costa recommended the Board establish a Rotary Improvement <br /> Committee to further review the beautification proposal. The Director of <br /> Public Works, the VFW, Vietnam Veteran's, the Chamber of Commerce <br /> and interested public should be involved to address this matter in depth <br /> recommended Selectman Costa. <br /> Selectman Dinizio suggested the Board consider privatization services <br /> for annual rotary maintenance. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to establish a Rotary <br /> Improvement Committee as recommended, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> T Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Caffyn abstained. <br /> *Board Secretary approved, meeting minutes to be retained. <br /> In other business,Ms. Coogan requested the Board further review the <br /> traffic signs located at the Mashpee rotary. <br /> Communication was received from Police Chief Przybylek dated <br /> October 11, 1395 relative to this concern. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to discuss this matter as a future agenda <br /> topic of discussion with the Chief of Police and Director of Public works. <br />
