Friends of the Library: Teri Hyde reported that with the bookcases , they had something like three hours less 'work, , and they have been doing the same busines , with less work and people seem to lige the system a lot better . Teri reported that they plan to revise the bookmarks and the membership. FriendsMeeting : It ap eared that they -might have Dan Ziac Cullough as a guest at their meeting. That wil-1 be a positive for July or September . ' He will let Teri know. Teri also suggested having a raffle, a door prize type o of thing; three chances for a dollar , sort of thing. IV COMMUNICATION Helene reported that the new selectman Liaison was George Costa . BUSINESS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS : S A. New irc lation clerk - inte-rvlews , .etc . : Helene reported that the ad was in about ten days ago , and the closing date was today. Toni Robertson grid Helene will be looking through the applications . They will advise 1M. Farren as to whorr-I she .should test , and interview from a ongthe applicants . The library trustees made a recommendation to the Selectmen relative to the ultimate choice , and the Selectmen actually appoint . B . Long Range Plan : - future expansion; capital progra�- co - iittee ; grant applications : Under Goal lv, Our last goal was to develop a long range plan for building expansion and. Potential funding sources , Last year, the execti-tive sec- retary chariged the W x.37 the 3r .did the api ta l budget , and went on a five-year plan. That was. wh "tfie. -library sub- mitted the request for heating when they did. If they should stay with the time-frame that they used this past year , probably September or o to -er they will be asked to su brn i t the projects th .t they want included on the plan. If we do not have it in then, they have missed another year . we are looking ing at 2001, so that the library will have to look at what their plans were for the ',wilding. Discussion relative to future expansion of the library and potential costs followed,, It was suggested that the high -school building committee would have information relative to futilre population projections for Mashpee . 0. Robertson indicated that s-he would be interested in getting Tor. Fudala r s comments re- lative to town expansion.
