There was a patron who spends half of the year in Florida, and half in Mash ee , - who has indicated that he was unhappy with the r-eserve policy relative to best salters and new books in the Dlashpee Library. This patron asked Mimi to briar . t is issue up at ,the hoard. A. Buschenfeldt made a motion that this has been brought before the board and we have decided to continue the- present hepresent policy. G. Selander seconded. All in favor. Motion carried . Mimi volunter ed to advise Mr , Jacobson relative to the decision. D. Rental Boo'_, s : Helene explained that some of the- libraries purchase multiple copies of best selling books , and they can go out for a. rental charge o.f typically $1 . 00 a we �, with an. additional $ . 25 a day -thereafter . The Friends would buy the c o i e s , and the rental monies would go to the Friends . Terri Hyde Indicated She was aga-Inst this idea . That this would involve extra work for the library personnel . She did not thj-nk it was necessary. It was agreed that the idea should be postponed. at this time . B. July 4th Holiday and hours of operation : Monday, July 3rd the town hall will be open. D. Shaughnessy .moved that the library should follow the town hall policy. If town hall should decide to close on Monday, July 3rd, so will the library. Mimi Marsh seconded. All in favor .
