It will be posted in the newspaper to go out to bid. Helene explained that Sandy .Price, the -new circulation assistant etas working out beaufifull' Helene felt -that Mrs . Price had been a good choice. C. Population growth: D. Shaughnessy explained the following information on the -population growth received from the town planner: In 1990 people in the town 65 and over. - 1151 - 14 . 6% of -the population. In 2010 that 1151 will go up to 1640 , but the percentage drops to 11. Although the actual population of people - will eopleiwill rise almost 50% . The largest growth at that- time is projected to be among young people. In 2004 , the population is estimated t between 11,000 and 12,Oo .. In other words , the town i expected to grow bar .another third of ,what we see presently: VI NEW T BUSI ESS A. Signage: M. Marsh pointed out that she had seen, at several cape libraries a wonderful green sign installed at the kerb that showed a reader and' an arrow .pointed in the proper di- rection, 'and it reads "Library",. Mi-mi explained that she had talked ,to many .people who were visiting Ka hpe , and they .had no idea where the Mashpee Library -was located. 4 with the traffic going by on 1 1, and with a' sign that read Library, ' our chances of ,getting a few of these people would be pretty .good. Helene stated that she did not know ,the proper channels to go through. Since Cheryl Hawver was a member of the board f appeals, Helene suggested we assign this project t Cheryl. B. open Meeting Law: M. Marsh explained, according to Jane a.Bute, Town Clerk, every member of .the board should have a copy .of the 'Open Meeting Law. That re �uirement has been complied with by this board.
