t <br /> I • <br /> 1 ASH EE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING- MINUTES <br /> JANUARY 17, 1995 <br /> i <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:OOPM <br /> Finance Committee Members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Marcia <br /> King, vice Chairman; Sid Golub; John Ferriday; Denise Sullivan; <br /> Tony Gallo and Juan Bacigalupi. <br /> Invited Guest - Robert Whritenour, Executive Secretary <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> Minutes <br /> Marcia King MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of January Io-, 1995, <br /> 'bony Gallo seconded the Motion and members voted -o to accept the <br /> Ninutes. Juan Bacigalupi refrained from voting due to his absence <br /> from that meeting. <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that he had spoken with Judy Mills, <br /> Chairperson, Board of Selectmen prior to the start of this meeting <br /> and she suggested that the Finance Committee come to a meeting to <br /> discuss the Long Range Plan. Mr. Goggin also mentioned that Union <br /> Contracts are up for negotiation and Ms, Mills would like the <br /> participation of the Finance Committee in the forefront o <br /> negotiations. Mr. Gallo asked if the Finance Committee would be <br /> sitting and listening or if they could participate in the <br /> discussions and have a vote? Mr. Goggin answered that he believed <br /> the Finance Committee would be involved in setting the boundaries <br /> for the negotiations. Mr. Whritenour stated that it is the <br /> intention of the Selectmen to sit with the Finance Committee in a <br /> joint discussion to come up with boundaries.
