The department is looking into Grants for <br /> park equipment,. Dost of that equipment will go to Heritage Park, <br /> Mr, Frederick said that the parr equipment has been reduced from <br /> $10,000 to $2 ,500. <br /> Mr. Frederick spoke about some of the other programs being offered <br /> again, a certified nursing assistant's program, J 'tech program, SAT <br /> classes and driver's education classes. <br /> Mr.. Golub asked about the items being requested from the capital <br /> Program, Mr, Frederick answered a building, youth center and pool. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi asked if Sandwich High School is raking a profit <br /> having a pool. Mr. Frederick projects it to be a revenue source, <br /> but that the Town would probably not recover the initial cost of <br /> the project. Mr. Golub mentioned that the Capital Committee has <br /> struck a youth center from capital projects but has given $20,000 <br /> for preliminary review. Mr, Ferriday's opinion was that Mr. <br /> Frederick should think about combining a youth center and a pool . <br /> Request for Transfer from the Reserve Fund <br /> Mr. Golub informed the Committee that he had spoken to Mr. <br /> hritenour about the request for $15,000 for equipment and wiring <br /> of the selectmen's Office to televise meetings, Mr, Golub stated <br /> that the Selectmen were unwilling to reduce this amount. Mr, <br /> Bacigalupi mentioned that it was Selectman ca-ffyn at the last <br /> meeting who suggested looking at other alternatives. lir. <br /> Bacigalupi provided a cost analysis of purchasing a one camera <br /> operation. The total cost would be $4,166. The camera would be <br /> able to be mored around. The camera then could only be utilized by <br /> the Finance Committee and other Committees, as well as the Board of <br /> Selectmen. Mr, Golub stated that them are many other requests <br /> from departments which are truly emergency situations, although he <br /> is in favor of televised meetings. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi MOTIONED that �4,166 be transferred to the Town Hall <br /> Expense Account from the Reserve Fund for the purpose of providing <br /> a one camera operation.
