• Alice would like to further discuss and possibly have Bourne's Town Planner address the
committee regarding their policy for builders on the ratio of affordable to market value
units building process/timeline, This is a very big issue because there are still people who
won the lottery about two years ago and 'are still waiting. A lot is affected by
developments moving so low. For instance, changes to income, changes with housing
assistance corporation, closing dates have been changed at least a couple of times,
financing becomes a factor, etc. All feel it would be important to establish a process to
track status of affordable projects to be reported to the ZBA.
• Much discuss was had regarding, Joyce Mason's request to look over the Affordable
Housing section of the town plan from 1996. However, this committee had paid for a new
Affordable Housing Plan in 2005. Alice motioned and Cynthia second that The Affordable
Housing Committee give Zella authority to submit the 2005 Affordable Housing Plan
approved by the state of Massachusetts for the Town of Mashpee as replacement of the
housing portion of the Town of Mashpee Comprehensive Plan from 1998. All agreed.
OTHER BUSINESS
+ Deborah Battles reappointment is forthcoming.
• Citizens needed at ZBA meeting on December 18 at bpm at Town Hall.
* New deadline policy for all to members to have comments/additions to draft letters three
days from original draft being sent.
Cynthia motioned for adjournment. Julius seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 8.55pm
There will not be a January meeting. Next meeting will be February 5 at 7pm.
Respectfully submitted by,
Denise MacFarlane
