meeting, and Brian Baumgaertel suggested a public hearing be scheduled for the August 231d
meeting.
Laurel Almquist made a Motion to continue discussion and review of the Draft Tobacco Regulation
to the July 12, 2018 meeting. Motion seconded by Brian Baumgaertei, VOTE: Unanimous (2-0)
NEW BUSINESS
1. Sign Expense Warrants. Board members signed the expense warrants.
2. Approve 2018 Board of Health Fee Schedule.
Glen Harrington stated there were no changes to the Fee Schedule for 2018. With regard to the
Nitrogen Aggregation for Subdivisions fee listed as TBD, Mr. Harrington stated that he found
language to add third party review to the regulation, and suggested that it may not be necessary
to have it in the Fee Schedule if it is within the regulation. He indicated that it would need to be
a separate septic regulation that would require a public hearing with notice in the newspaper.
Mr. Harrington stated that a fee has already been established for individual properties but not for
subdivisions; however, the Board can approve the 2018 Fee Schedule as-is because there needs
to be a regulation change in order to install the third party review requirement. Mr. Harrington
further informed the Board that Mashpee's fees are high compared to other towns. He stated
that a great deal of time is spent inspecting camps, and that there are currently about a dozen
camps in town, including sports camps.
Laurel Almquist made a Motion to approve the 2018 Board of Health Fee Schedule.
