;.(Agenda Topic 6).Restrict Motor Size on Lake
Discussion: In an August 17"' Mashpee Enterprise article, Al Turner suggested he may consider going to
the state level to limit HP on the lake to 50 HP. He would give residents 7 years to get rid of non-
complying boats. This would have to come from the State, and would eliminate all bass tournaments,
PCW's and many of the resident's boats. This committee feels this is an excessive restriction and
penalizes the lake residents for the offences of others. It was voted 4-0 with 1 abstention, to write to Al
Turner and let him know we were not in favor of this restriction, The committee recommends finding the
lowest horsepower of a PCW and setting the limit 1.0 below this level. Barbara will write to Al Turner
with our recommendation.
Conclusions: Limiting HP on motors in the lake to 50 HP is excessive and not supported by the
committee.
(Agenda Topic 7) Committee Reorganization ,
Discussion: The current officers will continue to serve the committee. Debi McManus as Chairman,
Brian Mauro as Vice Chairman and Barbara Nichols as Secretary.
Conclusions: The current officers will continue for another year.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:17 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Barbara B. Nichols
