Glen Harrington stated that this septic repair
involves a property line variance to a town-owned property, and he wanted the board to have an
opportunity to review and approve the sideline variance.
Peter McEntee, from Engineering Works, was present to represent the applicant. Mr. McEntee
indicated that the site is very challenging and the back yard has very limited access. The variance
request is being made in an effort to avoid having to put in a new water service.
Mr. Harrington stated that he showed the plan to the Conservation Agent and Building
Commissioner, and the only comment was regarding the shed which encroaches onto Town
property. He recommended that approval of the variances be conditional on the relocation of
the shed to meet the 5' building setback and, as required when working inside the 10' setback,
that the property line be staked in the field prior to system installation.
1
