ti <br /> The Chair inquired about parking and Mr. Connell responded that parking would be available on <br /> both sides of Market Street, off site, behind the buildings and along Jobs Fishing Road, There <br /> was discussion regarding parking and the slowing of traffic on Jobs Fishing. The Chair also <br /> inquired about the cost differences of the units and Mr. Connell responded that there would be a <br /> huge difference as the market rate would need to subsidize the 13 affordable units. There was <br /> discussion about the affordable housing units being designated, as well as discussion regarding <br /> funding. <br /> APPROVAL OF MMUTES-July 1, 2014 <br /> MOTION: Mr. Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes as dl*stributed. Mr. Isbit <br /> seconded the notion. All voted unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Habitat for Humanity Discussion <br /> Chairman Abbott indicted that Habitat for Humanity would be applying for CPA funds. Mr. <br /> Johnson added that title issues had been resolved. <br /> RFP & Sites IiscusinnMashpe Housing Authority letter <br /> mr. isbitz would be following up with the Town Manager. Chairman Abbott read a copy of the <br /> letter from the Mashpee Mousing Authority, addressed to the Board of Selectmen, regarding their <br /> pursuit for a feasibility study on 950 Falmouth Road. The letter stated that the parcel would not <br /> be feasible for a large development due to being identified as habitat for endangered species, <br /> reducing development to just one acre at each parcel. The Chair suggested that the information <br /> in the letter may not be accurate, noting that an RFP would be pursued for the parcels at 950 <br /> Falmouth Road and old Barnstable Road. <br /> Report on QUA & QVCA <br /> The Chair indicated that he had been ire contact with both Quashnet valley Estates and the <br /> Quashnet valley Condos to discuss their concerns. Regarding Quashnet valley Estates, <br /> residents seem to believe that a project would be developed at old Barnstable and have <br /> expressed interest in working cooperatively with the town. The Chair has recommended that the <br /> association reach out to the Board of Selectmen by letter. The Chair attended a meeting with the <br /> Quashnet valley Condo Association, who expressed concern about the project and have voted <br /> against it. The Chair provided information to the association and felt that he was able to address <br /> their questions. The association had also been seeking a sidewalk and the Chair recommended <br /> that they request it from the gown. <br /> Accessory Affordable Dousing Apartment Program <br /> Discussion was tabled <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Site with Data <br /> Chairman Abbott recommended review of the website www.housi ,ria as an excellent resource <br /> and information. The site may be useful for updating the Mousing Production Plan. <br /> 2 <br />
