MINUTES—JANUARY 109 2013 <br /> A"SHIPEE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMITTEE <br /> ITT <br /> MASHPEE TOWN BALL, CONFERENCE <br /> Present: Robert Wooldridge, Beverly Wooldridge, Marilyn Farren, Charles Maintanis, <br /> Kathleen Moore, Patricia Parolski, Michele Brady, Carol Sherman. <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW Director, was also present. <br /> Absent: Mert Spers. <br /> Called to order: The meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m. by Chairman Robert <br /> Wooldridge <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Motion: Tricia Parols i moved to approve the minutes of November 8, 2012 with <br /> the two corrections. Seconded by Michele]Brady. vote was unanimous. <br /> Where was a discussion on the condition of the Mobi-Mat and the curling up of the edges. <br /> i <br /> Catherine Laurent said this could be fixed by adding more stakes. But, due to the <br /> condition of the head after the Sandy storm, the mat may need to be roved to another <br /> location. <br /> Discuss {Town Plans and Actions Addressing Actionsin 7-Fear Plan <br /> Bob noted that Catherine Laurent narked up the -Year Plan indicating what progress <br /> has been made. There have been a couple of things that have been gone at Heritage Park_ <br /> Catherine said at this point she felt the committee should take a fresh look at the plan and <br /> prioritize tasks and also consider some new properties that are not even referenced in the <br /> plan. Bob asked the members to look through the report before their meeting in March <br /> and thea we could prioritize the tasks. The Committee will take this up again in March. <br /> Catherine commented that this ties in with proposals for CPC funding and said if the <br /> committee could have the priority list ready for their March meeting, the request could be <br /> put in for the CPC funds in April for next October torn meeting. <br /> Update Efforts to Provide Full and Equal Access on 'four Buses Used for Day Trips <br /> Off-Cape <br /> Bob spoke with Mass Office on Disability that is assisting with the taxi study that he <br /> previously mentioned which originally started out with taxi access and usability in all of <br /> the towns_ The Disability Consortium also has been seeking comments from the towns <br /> and the plan is to get with the legislature during the budget process when they start <br /> funding the public transportation portion of the budget. They agreed to include the issue <br /> of the accessible tour buses in with the discussion of the transportation budget. Bob <br /> welcomed any suggestions as to what a worthwhile avenue would be to pursue. He felt it <br />
