ONTS--SEPTEMBER 11,2014 <br /> MASRPEE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMWTTEE <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL 2:00 p.m. <br /> Present: Robert Wooldridge, Beverly Wooldridge, Charles Maintanis, and Patricia Parolski. <br /> Also Present: Michael Mendoza, Building Inspector <br /> Called to order: The meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m. by Chairman Cobert Wooldridge <br /> Chairman Wooldridge introduced Michael Mendoza, Mashpee Building Inspector and gave hien <br /> copy of the Mashpee Bylaws regarding parking. <br /> Identifying Handicapped Parking Shortcomings In Mashpee <br /> The Chairman stated he has been identifying parking shortcomings 'n Mashpee and requested of <br /> the members to note down any places they see any potential problems in town regarding parking <br /> spaces whether it be lack of signs or absence of spaces, etc. <br /> Rob said he didn't do much at Mashpee Commons because they are in the rm"dst of a significant <br /> expansion. In November the committee could finalize the list and send it to the building; <br /> department. He said he did include some of the long standing issues at Mashpee Commons, <br /> specifically the Pot office, and the handicap parking space near Woodruffs across from Zoe's. <br /> Zoe's has curb cuts but no parking spaces and there are no curb cuts across the street where the <br /> handicap parking space is. <br /> Regarding the Post office, the Chairman stated he had a number of mails with Richard Morgan, <br /> Acting Building Inspector, and he received an email from Joyce Mason, Town Manager, statim <br /> that we are not always going to get the outcome that we desire and this is one of then and she is <br /> sure if Mashpee Commons decides to change the post office building or undertake a major <br /> renovation of the building they will address the parking situation and until then consider the <br /> matter closed.
