Charlie also referred to the ADA <br /> Accessibility Guidelines which became effective in 2012 in which they changed the definition o <br /> parking lot and use the term parking facilities. They described the parking facilities are parking <br /> spaces around a particular business that are intended for the use of that business and they also <br /> stated the that curb cuts are readily achievable. <br /> Chairman Wooldridge cited what is readily achievable from the latest legal opinion dated April <br /> 2014. Private businesses open to the general public must remove architectural harmers in <br /> existing facilities including commu *cation barriers that are structural in nature where such <br /> removal is readily achievable. i.e. easily accomplishable and easy to carry out without much <br /> difficulty or expense 2 CFR . Examples are determined on a case by case basis. Charlie <br /> said the only ADA issues the Building Department is authorized to enforce are handicapped <br /> parking issues.
