Mr. Sykes did not initially
have the required green cards to shover as proof of abutter notification and thus the commission voted for
a continuance.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a continuance to June 131h, 2013.
Mr. Sykes returned to the meeting with green cards after the commission ion discussed the remaining post
hearing agenda iters. Mr. Sykes requested to proceed with his presentation and the commission agreed
to'allow hire to proceed.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to allow for the re-presentation of Nol for 186
Fells Pond Rd
Mr. Sykes handed the green cards to the board secretary and presented the project. The project
involves replacing timber steps down a coastal bank associated with Fells Pond and construction of
small deck for anchoring a ramp to a float. Chairman Fitzsimmons questioned wham type of float is going
into Fells Pond. The chairman explained that Fells Pond is not a great pond, thus the Ma hpee Harbor
Master has no jurisdiction on the pond. If the proposed float is a 10-A float issued by the Harbor Master,
then it may not be allowed as Fells Pond is not ar great pond. The agent clarified the situation to Mr.
Sykes. The agent explained that if this float is to be supported by any type of piling, then it would fall
under wetlands jurisdiction and thus be subject to permitting. As there was no float shown on the plan of
record, Mr. Sykes requested a continuance in order to have time to figure out whether or not this will be a
bottom anchored 10-A Float or a pile supported float. Either way, the float must be shown on a revised
plan
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a continuance to June 13 th1 2013
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:03 pm. ` :0 :51
Respectfully submitted,
Andrew McManus
Conservation Agent
AY material submitted for hearings can be found ars Conservation Flash Drive dated 711110***
3
