' •s Marshall Brim explained he was looking to remove four trees that could fall into his bedroom. The lot next to him is empty and during the recent storm four large trees came down and across the street a neighbor lost a big tree. He said this was for safety. Agent McManus reviewed the plans. He said it was clearly a safety consideration. The trees are in proximity of the top of the coastal bank and one of therm is on the coastal bank. It is a fully vegetative non eroding coastal bank leading the Shoestring Bay and Agent McManus recommended a negative determination. It is a 4' x ' deck to anchor the float which is not on the plan. At this time, Mr. Byres would lire the Commission to consider the repair ofthe-steps and the-construction 'this small deck at the water's edge. At this time he was not applying for the float just the stairway and platform. No comments from the public. He explained the wall is about 50 years old, 50 feet has collapsed and they would like to put new technology segmental blocks in its place in mortar block cinder retaining device. It tales up less than 0% of the properties frontage. He has addressed pollution, wildlife and habitat and couldn't see any reason why this shouldn't happen. A secondary issue is a safety issue. Thirty one plants have been planted down the slope. They would lire a handrail to go down the steps and he said they have mitigation on the plan.
