Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of July 11, 2013 <br /> Public Hearings <br /> Masbpee Town Hall <br /> x opponesset Fleeting Room <br /> Commissioners: Chainnan John Fitzsimmons, vice Chairman Ralph Shaw, Mark <br /> Gurnee, and Brad Sweet <br /> Staff resent: Drew McManus (Conservation Agent) and Judy Daign ault (Recording <br /> Secretary) <br /> ,Call Meeting to order: 5:55 �. . <br /> The meeting was called to order with a quorum by Chairman Fitzsimmons at 5:5 5 p.m. <br /> The Chairman noted this meeting was not being televised. <br /> There was no public comment <br /> Pre Post Hearing Agenda; <br /> Minutes: No minutes <br /> Mark Gurnee requested the town landing boat ramp at Ockway Bay be discussed. Roll <br /> Call vote was taken to hold the discussion. Chairman Fitzsimmons, yes; Mr. Shaw, yes; <br /> Mr. Sweet, yes; and Mr. Gurnee, yes. <br /> Mr.Gurnee stated there is a new dock at the boat ramp at ockway Bay and he asked i <br /> someone has come to Conservation Commission for executive advisement. Drew <br /> McManus stated no one has cone for any possible permitting or review by the <br /> Conservation Commission. Mr. Gurnee also stated he slid not see any identifiable marks <br /> but would cheep again. <br /> Drew McManus informed the Commissioners that he went out with the Harbormaster on <br /> Wednesday morning to take a tour of New Seabury creek and coves, Popponcssct Island <br /> and o kway Bay to take a look at different docks and piers that had additional floats <br /> above and beyond the size of their permitted plans as well as the jet ski floats and does <br /> that lack proper signage and DEP numbers and he carne up with a list of about 30 <br /> different docks that have various violations. Drew said he will be sending out letters to <br /> let people know what they need to do to make their docks into compliance. Agent <br /> McManus stated he clad see some of the docks have jet ski mats. The harbormaster would <br /> life theca to install jet ski lifts so we wouldn't have so much shading out ofpossible <br /> shellfish growing areas. He said he wasn't aware of how many jet ski floats were out <br /> there and none of them having any permitting and are not marked. They could break <br /> loose and become storm borne debris. Drew said he will be following up on this. <br /> i <br />
