I <br /> I <br /> 1 <br /> Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of December 11, 201 <br /> Public Hearings <br /> ashpee Town Hall <br /> Ockway Meeting Boon <br /> Commissioners; John Fitzsimmons, Dale McKay, Robrt Anderson, Brad Sweet, <br /> Ralph Shag, Mark Gurnee. <br /> Staff Present: Drew McManus (Conservation Agent) and Judy Daigneault (Recording <br /> Secretary <br /> CALL-MEETING To ORDER: 5:55 p.m. <br /> PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA: <br /> Minutes: October 2 , and November 11 z 2014 Minutes. <br /> F <br /> Motion: Mr. shag moved to accept the minutes of. October 23, 2014 and <br /> November 11, 2014, seconded by-Mr, Sweet. Vote unanimous: 6-0. <br /> Informational Discussion: Joan Muse regarding tree at 18 Cross Tree Way. <br /> The Agent informed the Commissioners that Joan Muse was - present to address <br /> property at 18 Cross Tree War which is a coastal lot under wetlands jurisdiction. <br /> Joan Muse was present on behalf of the owner of 18 Cross Free Way. She requested <br /> the removal of a very largo cedar tree and proposed mitigating native species plantings. <br /> She has spoken -to a Massachusetts certified arborist and he estimated the-area would <br /> e 20 b .l 5 feet with approximately 20 plants of native species planted in place of the <br /> tree. She asked if she could go forward in filing an ICDA working in conjunction with <br /> Hoxie Landscaping. She explained the property is -ori the market and the tree is <br /> affecting the ability to sell the property. <br /> The Agent explained the reason he had Joan Muse cone before the Commission <br /> without any permit application is to get the Commission's recommendation on what type <br /> of permit they would feel is necessary for this situation. He said he has received many <br /> requests for removal of this tree over the years. The agent suggested a N01 because an <br /> ICDA cannot be conditioned. Following a dis u ion and review of the photos provided, <br /> the Commissioners agreed the applicant should file an N01 and noted this would not <br /> necessarily rnean the Commissioners would be approving the Nol. <br /> HEARINGS: <br /> :00 Popponesset Beach Association, 0 Uncle Percy's Road. Proposed aquatic <br /> management of Dean's Pond. Applicant has requested continuance to ,January 8, <br /> 2015. Not <br /> The Agent explained there has been a delay in getting delineations completed by the <br /> consultant; therefore, the proposal has not received a DEP number. <br />
