COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> APRIL 10, 2013 <br /> Present: Council on Aging members Irving Goldberg, Jack Jordan, Jeanne Noussee, <br /> Virginia McIntyre, Marijo Gomey, Jack Dorsey, Lynne Waterman, Council on Aging <br /> Director, and Darlene Perkins, Outreach Coordinator <br /> Absent: Norah McCormick and Mary Gaffney <br /> Chairman Irving Goldberg opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES—March 13,2013 <br /> Motion: Jack Jordan moved to accept the minutes of March 13, 2013 with one <br /> correction, seconded by Virginia McIntyre. 6-0-1 with Jack Dorsey abstaining (he <br /> was not present at the meeting on February 13) <br /> No Public Comments <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> Lynne Waterman distributed her Director's report and reviewed it with the Council <br /> members. She highlighted that most of her focus in March was reviewing old records <br /> and discarding and shredding them according to the town's record schedule. Lynne <br /> reorganized two storage closets and the entry way to focus on monthly activity schedules. <br /> She also reorganized the two drawer file and facilitated the unpacking of items from the <br /> old senior center building. <br /> Lynne also informed the members that she met with two office supply companies <br /> regarding the reconfiguration of the front office area. One quote was received and she is <br /> waiting for the other quote. <br /> The telephone calls for March ranged from 14 to 52 per day. <br /> Lynne stated that the Outreach Coordinator, Darlene Perkins, began her duties in March <br /> and she is training her. <br /> Lynne and the Directors of the other Upper Cape Senior Centers met with Representative <br /> David Viera regarding next year's formula grant. The goal is to increase the amount per <br /> senior that we receive from the state through this formula grant process. <br />
