already expressed strong opposition to the proposal relative to traffic concerns
and diminution of their property values.
d) The proposed construction design of Blue Castle Drive does not conform
with the provisions of the Mashpee Subdivision Rules and Regulations that
the centerline of the pavement be the same as the centerline of the street
layout. The proposed street wanders all over the layout. This is most radically
problematic adjacent to Great Neck Road South where the proposed design
lies outside of the layout entirely. As required by the Planning Board in
conjunction with a previous subdivision filing for lots near Great Neck Road
South, the street must be relocated from its current location to the legal layout
of Blue Castle Drive.
As this plan has not been submitted to the Planning Board for the required
subdivision and special permit approvals, it has not yet been reviewed by the
Planning Board's Consulting Engineer.'
3)Stop & Shop Peapod vending machines
This proposal may require review and approval by the Planning Board as a
modification of the Mashpee Commons North Market Street special permit.
It is not clear how the proposal will work relative to parking for Peapod pickups,
blocking of traffic on Bates Road and the designated fire lane, as well as the major
pedestrian crossing from the parking lot to the east entrance of the store.
The area of proposed for the Peapod coolers is currently used for storage of a
large number of grocery carts. Where will they go now?
0 Page 2
