Plan for the Pollinator Gardens at the Community Garden Site Environmental Landscape Consultants LLC <br /> Site Assessment for the Community Garden Demonstration Gardens: ELC staff, in conjunction with <br /> AmeriCorps staff and the Conservation Agent, has provided both site assessment and design services <br /> to date. On March 13, 2013 ELC staff laid out two demonstration gardens on the north and east sides <br /> of the community garden <br /> plots. <br /> f <br /> x`K <br /> The photo to the right shows <br /> the location of the proposed " <br /> garden on the north side of <br /> C <br /> the community garden plots <br /> in what is mowed <br /> remnant/naturalized turf. <br /> The curved garden was <br /> outlined on site using turf <br /> paint. The white turf paint <br /> lines outlining the proposed k <br /> garden are somewhat visible <br /> in the photo. The proposed r <br /> north side garden is about 15 '`'� r " � <br /> feet by 48 feet in length fora <br /> total of about 720 square feet <br /> (sf) of garden area. <br /> The photo to the left <br /> shows the location of the <br /> proposed garden on the <br /> east side of the plots— <br /> also in mowed turf. The <br /> area, approximately 18 <br /> feet by 28 feet in size is <br /> w also outlined in turf paint, <br /> G which is visible in the <br /> photo, especially on the <br /> right side. This garden of <br /> ` about 500 sf is also curved <br /> to create attractive, <br /> naturalistic lines. <br /> Both proposed pollinator/ <br /> wildlife gardens will be <br /> $ visible from Main Street, <br /> although, as you will see below, they are designed to be viewed up close both to enjoy the plants and to <br /> learn about appropriate pollinator/wildlife plants for the home landscape.
