Town Manager <br /> Charles Gasior, Clerk Brad Sweet, MTI!Committee <br /> Oskar Klenert Rodney Collins, Police Chief <br /> Sal DiBuono Brian Hyde, School Superintendent <br /> Christopher Arris Scott McGee, School Committee mittee Chair <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Mark Davini called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE—Recited. <br /> MOMENT T CSF SILENCE FOR ROBERT HUTC I SO — In tribute to a former Finance Committee <br /> e <br /> member who served from March 2005 -May 2010. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS TS— Done. <br /> REVIEW F MINUTES <br /> Theresa Cook made a motion that the minutes from the July 11, 2013 Finance Commiftee meeting <br /> be approved as presented. Oscar Kle ert seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a <br /> vote of 6-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • MTV Warrant Article— Brad Sweet, Vice President, MT <br /> Brand Sweet introduced himself to the Committee and addressed how Warrant Article 1 (draft <br /> #2 dated 8/07113) affects Mashpee TV. Mr. Sweet stated that the Mashpee TV studio will have <br /> its grand opening on Sept. 4th but is already I1/2 gears into a -year leasing contract agreement. <br /> Much of the equipment used by the station is old and outdated and it is anticipated that it will <br /> need to be replaced. Theresa Cook explained that the warrant article will enable the Board of <br /> Selectmen to enter into a 5 year agreement with Mashpee TV which in turn will allow Mashpee <br /> TV to eater into contracts of up to 5 years. Mr. Sweet stated that MTV is funded by 3% of <br /> Comcast revenues collected from Comcast customers. Currently there are three available <br /> charnels; Channel 2 (School Channel); Channel 1 Government Channel); and Channel g <br /> (Public Access T . <br />
