Habitat for Hurnanif There is an RFP on a piece of property to work with Affordable Housing to <br /> see if a project can be started. Mashpee Commons has approached the Town for building rental <br /> units, of which 96 would be affordable housing. <br /> Big Fist. M lashpee will be Saturday, September 28, 2013, starting with breakfast at 8 AM at <br /> Mashpee High School for volunteers who will work on small projects such as small home repairs, <br /> raking, landscaping chores for the disabled, veterans and senior residents in need of assistance <br /> with these chores. The Mousing Assistance Corporation (HAC) is sponsoring this program. <br /> Contact the M Mashpee Selectmen's office for more information on volunteering. <br /> SEMASS. Progress is being made in negotiations with SEMASS and New Bedford Waste <br /> Services Company re: a contract renewal decision for the year 2014. <br /> Fire Chief Search. Replacement en for retiring Fire Chief George Baker is under way. <br /> Water Dlstri VSeVwrer District. There is still no legislation agreed upon been the attorneys for the <br /> Town and the Vater District. It has been suggested that Mr. Fudala has a conflict of interest <br /> between the Sewer District Commission and the Water District Commission. Mr. Fudala is waiting <br /> for input from the Attorney General as to what he can do relative to the Water District seat. <br /> Unknown Email Sources. Emails are being received from unknown sources to Town officials <br /> regarding town warrants. <br /> CPC. The B S took advice from Town Counsel regarding the removal of certain. wrarrant articles <br /> for presentation at the October Town Meeting. <br /> B. Transfer Requests — None. <br /> C. Liaison Deports <br /> School Committee—Theresa cook. Ms. Cook reported on the Cast School Committee <br /> meeting of the summer as being quiet and uneventful but productive. <br /> CPC - sal DiBuono. Mr DiBuono met with Joyce Mason and Torn Mayo for the purpose of <br /> understanding know the process works with the CPC committee, as to how the committee decides <br /> what projects to reject or recommend for approval. The Committee members offered explanations <br /> to Mr. M iBuono to assist him in clarifying the CPC process. <br /> D. summary Report of Meeting with Brian Hyde <br /> Mark Davini reported on his meeting with Brian Hyde, who is taking the committee heads and <br /> dealing with them individually. Discussion of the Memorandum of Understanding for the <br /> maintenance of the three school buidings, which has never been signed, took place. Mr. Hyde is <br /> going to approach this with a common sense perspective, recognizing that there are formalities to <br /> be followed, but also recognizing that we are a small town and vire all want to work together to <br /> make this move forward. <br /> E. Review of Town Warrant Articles—(George Schmidt, Oskar I lenert absent) <br /> Article I. The Committee approved recommendation of Article 1 by vote of -o, <br /> Article 2. Theresa Cook moved, Charles Gasior seconded that Article 2 be recommended for <br /> approval. The motion was approved (5-0). <br /> Article 3. Theresa Cook made a motion, seconded by Chris Avis, that Article 3 be recommend for <br /> approval. The motion was approved - . <br /> Article 4. Christopher Avis made a motion, seconded by Theresa Cool ,that Article 4 be <br /> recommended for approval. The motion was approved (5-0). <br /> Article 5. Charles Gasior made a motion, seconded by Sal DiB ono, that article 5 be <br /> recommended for approval. The motion was approved (5-0). <br /> Article 6. Recommended ended for approval by a vote of(6-0: George Schmidt absent at the 8/0812013 <br /> Finance Committee meeting. <br /> 2 <br />
