MINUTES <br /> SOUTH CAPE BEACH STATE PARK ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> JULY 6 , 1994 <br /> PRESENT: CHAIRMAN MORRIS KIRSNER, JOHN CRAMER, CATHERINE CONROY, <br /> FRANCIS LEBARON, BEN LOFCHE, BILL MARTIROS, J. FUDALA (excused) <br /> ALSO <br /> PRESENT: Robert Whritenour, Executive Secretary, Town of Mashpee <br /> Robert Sherman, Conservation Commission <br /> Tom Fudala, Town Planner <br /> STATE <br /> PRESENT: Commissioner Webber, DEM, and other members of his staff. <br /> Christine Gault <br /> Nick Vonzalides <br /> The meeting convened at 7 : 00 p. m. <br /> Chm. Kirsner acknowledged Commissioner Peter Webber and other mem- <br /> bers of his staff present. M. Kirsner also acknowledged the presence <br /> of Robert W hritenour,Executive Secretary, Town of Mashpee. <br /> M. Kirsner opened the meeting with reference to the recent death of <br /> Carol Jacobson, former selectman. A moment of silence was observed <br /> by the meeting in memory of Carol. <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of DPW was unable to attend. Mr. Taylor had <br /> prepared a written report which M. Kirsner read, as follows: <br /> "With regard to Great Oak Road; the construction and easement plans <br /> were completed by Bostwick Engineering in June. Copies have been <br /> given to the Planning Department. " <br /> "A revised construction estimate will be prepared for the board of <br /> selectmen. All future work is dependent upon funding and approval <br /> by the board of selectmen. " <br /> MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: The minutes of the meeting of April <br /> 26 , 1994 were corrected as follows : The minutes incorrectly recorded <br /> the absence of Thomas Abbott. Mr. Abbott resigned his membership on <br /> the committee last December. Minutes were accepted as corrected. <br /> I CONSTRUCTION OF NEW TOWN BEACH (McGregors Road facility) : <br /> A presentation was made by Commissioner Peter Webber as to the <br /> proposed construction of the New Town Beach. The planned project <br /> included an upland two-hundred car gravel parking lot, over-dune <br /> boardwalk, and viewing platform, regrading, realignment and pav- <br /> ing of McGregor Road, contact stations, landscaping, dune restor- <br /> ations , and portable toilets , all in accordance with, and pursuant <br /> to the provisions and designs set forth in the Environmental Impact <br /> Report. <br />
