Ma rbly, Jr. , Wildlife District Manager <br /> Fred Peters, Ma hpee Rod & Gun Club <br /> 'Ray Bowman, Monument Beach Sportsmenis Club <br /> Members f Barnstable County League of Sportsmen' s <br /> Club <br /> Members of the public <br /> Meeting convened at 7 : 05 p. m, <br /> I Discussion of the Issue of Hunting on South cape Beach for <br /> the 1994/95 hurting season: <br /> Chm. Kirsner requested input from a representative of the <br /> hunters: <br /> Fred Peters of Mashpee Rod & Gun Club reported that he has <br /> seen no instances of hunters having any problem with anybody. <br /> Ray Bowman, representing Monument Beach Sportsmen' s Club <br /> indicated that to his knowledge there had been no problems <br /> on South Cape Beach related to hunting. ' <br /> Richard Flemming reported as follows: "During the past hunting <br /> season there were no major problems. There were the same sort <br /> of minor incidents as in the past, namely shooting at signs � <br /> and reflectors, and remains of small open fires. Safety zones <br /> and signage will be posted throughout the area as during pre- <br /> vious years. Patrols will continue to be made by department <br /> personnel. as time and staffing allow. The committees set up to <br /> patrol the opening and closing of Wills Work Road have worked <br /> very well with the exception of a fear minor incidents. " <br /> Mr. Fle r ing' s report continued: <br /> "It is felt by this supervisor that there is no need to curtail <br /> activities at South Cape Beach at this time. However, the start <br /> of construction at the new beach parking lot may require a re- <br /> view of the activity by the South Cape Beach Adv?sory Committee <br /> and the Department of Environmental Management. " <br />
