MA HPEE WATERWAYS COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of March 1 . 1994 <br /> The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7 :07 p .m . in <br /> Conference Room one at Ma hpee Town Hall . <br /> 4 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT : Sennett Gordon , Fred Fordham , Donald <br /> Lund , Jim Hanks , Herbert Silver , <br /> Ilan Home er . <br /> Also present was the Harbormaster , Ferry Ellis . <br /> No one carne forward for the public comment period . <br /> MINUTES: <br /> VOTE : Mot, on made and seconded to accept the minutes of <br /> February 1 . 1994 as written . Unanimous Vote . <br /> HARBORMASTER REPORT:T: Mr # Ellis advised there will be a CPR <br /> course for Assistant Harbormasters on April 12 ,, Tuesday and <br /> April 14 , Thursday , and again n June on the 7th and 9th . <br /> To be recertified , will be on May 10th . Site and time to be <br /> determined . Ten spaces will be reserved for the recertif- <br /> ication . <br /> ecertif- <br /> ication . <br /> It was noted that CPR recertification and to report for <br /> citation writing 'is mandatory . A letter to be sent to all <br /> Assistant Harbormasters that this must be accomplished by <br /> June 15th or they will not be reappointed . <br /> The Aids to Navigation are on order and delivery expected <br /> within four to five weeks . The new 88 HP Johnson '.s in and <br /> it is hoped to get it mounted shortly . The Eastern les still <br /> at Falmouth Marine . The Harbormaster ha-s 400 ft . of 3/811 <br /> hot-dipped , galvanized chain . The piling at the east end of <br /> the Waq o i t jetty t hat had the light o n it is gone . <br /> Mr . , Ellis had a meeting with the Coast Guard on all the Aids <br /> to Navigation and every aid must be registered , whether a <br /> sign n the shore , no boat - swim area on the ponds , i does <br /> not matter , whether fresh water or salt , every sign on a dock <br /> must be registered . Fines could amount to Zoo per day . <br /> There are only eight aids in the town presently that are <br /> registered , none of the other are registered and it carries <br /> a $100 per day fine per aid . They must be rapped out and <br /> numbered and sent in with no cost .
