The bass fishermen took offense at <br /> any attempt at regulation . The state will take public <br /> comments until February 28th . A separate hearing would have <br /> to be held for the "Slow - NoWake" aspect . <br /> The hearing was held by the public access board and a <br /> separate agency , the environmental police would have to hold <br /> this second hearing . It was noted the Environmental Police <br /> Chief was present at the February hearing and has been at <br /> every other meeting . .. <br /> copy of the proposed Boating in Inas tepee brochure was given <br /> to Jack Shepard and 'it is hoped he will provide some funding . <br /> REQUESTS FOP TOURNAMENTS : Jim Hanks suggested recommending <br /> to the Executive Secretary that he thank the state for <br /> appraising the town of these tournaments and to let us know <br /> who is coring and when since we have no say whatsoever in the <br /> matter , no legal basis for approval or disapproval <br /> Mr . Ellis advised every tournament requested this year was <br /> granted , none denied . There are 35 tournaments , 35 weekends , <br /> when he will be spending his early morning hours there . <br /> Dr . Gordon would like to send a letter t the Selectmen to <br /> urge that the commission 's proposed regulations be adopted <br /> and used for guidelines . Start- times should be 8 :00 a .m . <br /> Mr . Ellis advised Mr . Shepard has called and asked him to <br /> reach some of these people , because he has tried but the <br /> addresses and names are bogus and do not exist . Some of the <br /> entries to the bass tournaments were false applications ,just <br /> o say there are as many trout tournaments as there are bass <br /> tournaments . <br /> Mr . Hanks added someone on the lake ou i d send in bogus paid <br /> requests and if granted , shout out the bass tournaments . <br /> Dr . Gordon advised on April 24th there will be 44 boats on <br /> one day the next 35 or so , and on June St's there will be 1 <br /> or 17 . He asked if any commissioner had any objections to <br /> what he had su es ed � Mr .
