It was determined they both have to slow down .
Mr . Fordham asked i f that would not be a problem , with one
boat going out and one coming in , both planing?
The Harbormaster will research this and report back to the
Commission .
ANNUAL REPORT: Submission for the report was distributed for
review .
H i DL R DOCK: The Harbormaster advised he went out with the
Shellfish Warden and took measureinents for the low water mark
for the float at low tide . This was done with the assumption
there will be a 17 foot boat , with a 6 foot. beam . He was
advised there i s a 29 foot with a 12 foot beam with 600 HP
and after checking , Hendler does town this boat . If he does
put a 29 foot boat there , the Harbormaster o a n remove the
boat , within 72 hours , if determined it is a hazard to
navigation and c a n go to Chapter 91 and ask that the dock be
removed
Mr . Ellis stated they moved the float back on the land and
elevated it two feet so that the feel of . the boat was set in
two feet of water . It is as close to the bank arra as far
around the corner as is Possible .
Dr . Gordon asked if that meant four feat of water' if the boat
draws two feet?
Mr .. Fordham suggested a solution would be to put in a boat
lift to lift his boat out of the water .
Consensus:
Mr . Homeyer stated his concern is with a boat len there , with
the tide running the wrong way and the wind blowing the wrong
wa i t would end up with someone banging into the boat and
creating a problem with gasoline spills .
Mr . Lund felt it impedes progress in the channels and should
not be Permitted .
Mr . Fordham was against it completely as it is go1.ng to blood
the channel .
Mr . Hanks stated he looked at it today and it appeared to be
enough room to do what the plan proposes . He agreed that it
will block naigat .on . I one boat runs into another , its
n t an issue to the torn of # ashp e , but to the two boat
owners .
. .i. r wasconcerned k .. asafely l1._x, .
