H <br /> believes the proposal would work with a 17 foot boat . <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: Mr . Hanks provided a copy of the draft: <br /> of the 4 aquoit Bair brochure . EOEA is providing $400 for <br /> Publication of this brochure . On the back is a map to <br /> publicize the two pumpout facilities in and around Waquoit <br /> Say . Menauhant inlet through Eel River , Childs River , Seapit <br /> River , # aquoit Bay , Little River, Great River , Ha b i n 's <br /> Pond , e hu Pond and Sage l of Pond -will be i de nt i f i e . a. "bio <br /> Discharge Areas" . He will update the Commission as <br /> information becomes available . <br /> The Cooperative Extension of Barnstable is currently working <br /> on a poster to be posted locally to show where the nearest <br /> pumpout station is . <br /> Mr . Hanks advised the law concerning no discharge only <br /> applies to installed marine sanitation devices* most boat <br /> have nothing . It was suggested to WSNERR that they put <br /> portable outhouses on Washburn Island; urine is a high cause <br /> of nitrogen . There was discussion of how to handle the "call <br /> of mother nature" and proximity ity to any station . <br /> There is a brochure on how to apply for additional pumpout <br /> facilities that was sent to Harbormasters and Marinas . it <br /> must be in by April 10th and an attempt is beim made t <br /> coordinate what is happening with Little River ,, New Seabury , <br /> Half Tide , and he is advocating outhouses on the launching <br /> ramps and/or facilities for people who don 't have portable <br /> toilets . There is also a grant for 1995 which , if sent in <br /> now , would earmark operating and maintenance money which <br /> could defray the cost of operating any pumpout stations , such <br /> as Little Fiver and make '.t a free service . At $5 .00 per <br /> use , it is not going to be used much . <br /> Mr . Silver proposed a subc6mm.Ittee for ockway Bay and he <br /> would be happy to serve on this . Mr . Hanks advised the other <br /> areas were not subcommittees , only reporting monthly on the <br /> stat us . <br /> Mr . Fordham advised originally all of Popp Knesset Bay was <br /> ckway Bay and was the area out off Succonesset . <br /> There being no further business to come before the <br /> Commission , the meeting adjourned at 9: 45 p .m . <br /> Resp Cts 1 6, dn I , <br /> r <br />
