' •'r rile <br /> ' 'Town of jl� hpee <br /> i <br /> ti <br /> Waterways <br /> �Utz 16 Great NeckRcadNorth <br /> :pax , Mq 0264 <br /> MAHPEE WATERWAYS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES JULY 5, 1994 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bennett Gordon, Dan Homerer, Jim Hanks , <br /> Fred Fordham, <br /> Harbormaster Perry Ellis was present also. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7 : 04 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Mr. Ellis reported on behalf of Mr. <br /> McGonigle and other residents from Mashpee Wakeby Lake who <br /> refused to come to the meeting. The concern is they counted <br /> o boats on Mashpee Wakeby Lake this past weekend, the <br /> parkinLj lot attendant allowed launchinLj of boats after the lot <br /> was filled, and the complaint was that Waterways and the <br /> Harbormaster are not doin4 enough supervision of this person. <br /> Dr. Gordon recommended he contact Bob Whritenhour, and Mr. Ellis <br /> stated he did that already. Dr. Cordon stated that the gate . <br /> attendant does not report to the Waterways Commission and <br /> therefore is not in the purvue of the Commission. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded that no action be taken. <br /> Unanimous .. <br /> Mr. Ellis was complimented for his efforts on this 4th of July <br /> weekend patrol. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to accept the Minutes of June <br /> 7 , 1994 , <br /> Unanimous. <br /> HARBORMASTER REPORT: Mr. Ellis reported a very busy weekend <br /> in which loo stops were made for various s reasons, i.e. no <br /> registration, no numbers, safety checks , tows , etc. Mark Sherman <br /> new man) and Glen Could assisted ( they are paid assistants ) . <br /> There was an incident in whish a motor came off a boat. One <br /> ticket is being processed for a jet ski problem. Two new signs <br /> were also put up. Several pieces of literature were also given <br /> out. Mr.. -Ellis along with Mr. Hanks were congratulated for <br /> all their work and efforts. <br /> I <br />
