All buoys are out; two boats are still in the water. <br /> Assistant Harbormasters are on call. All is well . <br /> COUNTY DREDGE STATUS: Dr. Gordon reported on the second meeting <br /> he attended on October 12 , 1994. Ellicott Dredging - Company <br /> gave a presentation. A copy of the document "Barnstable Counter <br /> Dredging Program" was given to Dr* Gordon. Dr. Cordon described <br /> the dredging process. Mr. Danks stated that we will need new <br /> permits but possibl.y we may be able to reactivate some of the <br /> old. ones. There are about 40 harbors that need to be dredged. <br /> No third meeting has been called. There is $1 , 000 , 000 committed <br /> by the State for this prof ect. <br /> INLAND WA ER TAYS: Mr,, Homeyer reported a bass tournament <br /> occurred involving 65 boats; there were no problems. Santuit <br /> is quiet with the exception of fishing activity on the weekend. <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby Bond residents are upset by the water levels ; <br /> they dropped due to malicious tampering with the flumes and <br /> herring died as a result. Dain suggested drafting a letter to <br /> the Selectmen asking for support to clean out and make the diver <br /> flog again. They are presently working on a dredging pian for <br /> the channel. This is expected to help the shellfish in addition <br /> to the boaters,- A. motion was made by M . Homeyer that Waterways <br /> Commission suggest to Selectmen that they do everything possible <br /> to expedite the opening of the River and dredging in the <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby Pond and post a reward for information leading <br /> to the arrest of the vandals. After discussion Mr. Homeyer <br /> amended his motion to delete the reward. The motion was seconded <br /> and unanimously agreed. <br />
