The meeting was called to order at 7: 00 p,m. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: None. • MINUTES: The October 4 , 1994 Minutes were accepted with. the following corrections : Under DOCK PERMIT REVIEW Efron f s dock W3.11 be replaced instead of lengthened; under OTHER BUSINESS the original plan -called for a marina at South Cape Beach instead of Mr. .Danks would like to see it included. iHARBORMASTER REPORT: Dr. Gordon gage the report in Mr. Ellis ' s absence. All buoys are out; two boats are still in the water. Assistant Harbormasters are on call. All is well . COUNTY DREDGE STATUS: Dr. Gordon reported on the second meeting he attended on October 12 , 1994. Ellicott Dredging - Company gave a presentation. A copy of the document "Barnstable Counter Dredging Program" was given to Dr* Gordon. Dr. Cordon described the dredging process. Mr. Danks stated that we will need new permits but possibl.y we may be able to reactivate some of the old. ones. There are about 40 harbors that need to be dredged. No third meeting has been called. There is $1 , 000 , 000 committed by the State for this prof ect. INLAND WA ER TAYS: Mr,, Homeyer reported a bass tournament occurred involving 65 boats; there were no problems. Santuit is quiet with the exception of fishing activity on the weekend. Mashpee-Wakeby Bond residents are upset by the water levels ; they dropped due to malicious tampering with the flumes and herring died as a result. Dain suggested drafting a letter to the Selectmen asking for support to clean out and make the diver flog again. They are presently working on a dredging pian for the channel. This is expected to help the shellfish in addition to the boaters,- A. motion was made by M . Homeyer that Waterways Commission suggest to Selectmen that they do everything possible to expedite the opening of the River and dredging in the Mashpee-Wakeby Pond and post a reward for information leading to the arrest of the vandals. After discussion Mr. Homeyer amended his motion to delete the reward. The motion was seconded and unanimously agreed.
