POPPONESSET: Dr. Gordon reported all Markers are out. Few <br /> boats are in the water. <br /> WAQUOIT BAY: All ' s quiet. Mr. Hanks witnessed night <br /> shellfishinc and reported it to authorities ; Mark Sherman went <br /> on duty to follow-up. Mr. Hanks stated this confirms the need <br /> for continued vigilance., <br /> PROJECTS AND GOALS FOR WINTER 1994-95: Mr. Hoteyer reported <br /> n the subcommittee meeting in the Harbormaster ' s Office. Mr, <br /> Honey , Mr, Ellis , and Mr. Fordham are on this subcommittee. <br /> They are going to recommend certain actions as a Petition Article <br /> to be sure they get on the May Town Meeting Agenda, Dr. Gordon <br /> recommended initiating a comprehensive noiseby-law.. <br /> PARTICIPATION IN 125TH ANNIVERSARY: Mr. Fordham attended their <br /> meeting and distributed a list of events that are planned, <br /> Joan Ferragamo volunteered to come to a Waterways Commission <br /> meeting. A boat parade was discussed and informally scheduled <br /> for Saturday ( Sunday wind date . Boat races by classes are <br /> also being discussed. <br /> DOCK PERMIT REVIEW: Dr. Gordon reviewed the dock on Keel Way; <br /> we did not receive the Locus Map, Dr. Gordon emphasized that <br /> the role of Waterways is to comment if it affects navigation. <br /> Mr. Hanks will look at this one. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: Mr. Silver talked to Marilyn Farren re: Perry <br /> Ellis. The Harbormaster is entitled to 12 core days off which <br /> is the maximum for any Department Head in Mashpee. Mr. Ellis <br /> is working holidays, and he is taking 12 days off. You cannot <br /> accrue more than 12 days comp. ' Ms, Farren noted that Mr. Ellis <br /> should not be working on holidays. Mr. Ellis wants 16 total <br /> days. It was decided to discuss this with Mr. Ellis t the <br /> next meting. Mr. Ellis requested the purchase of two pair <br /> of binoculars , and Mr. Silver reported- that he acquired there. <br /> Dr. Gordon stated we should lock valuables so a well-equipped- <br /> boat is not exposed to theft. <br /> Discussion occurred e: Lew Schwartz ' s attendance and continued <br /> membership, Dr. Gordon expressed interest in getting Mr. Ellis <br /> voting rights on the Commission; he will discuss this with Bob <br /> hritenour. Dan Homeyer indicated Lew Schwartz may be willing <br /> to resign dte to other commitments . <br /> Mr. Hanks discussed a 'swish list" from- the State. A press <br /> release is forthcoming on the 28th re: improving Mass. Harbors . <br /> Mr. Homeyer reported that the Raytheon used equipment sale is <br /> still pending. Harry . Desrochers has followed it up and will <br /> keep us up to dat . <br /> �2_ <br />
