It was noted that the
sticker will let residents into either beach, and that the town
will not lose revenue; details regarding this will have to be
worked out with the selectmen. Richard Flemming stated that
there will be a $15 seasonal sticker pass this year.
John Cramer asked for clarification whether State funds include
the extension of McGregor load, and Chm. Kir ner stated the
do. Mr, Cramer stated it is his understanding that we are
waiting for engineering to come through the town which would
be the basis for going out to hid. Also, the anticipated cost
for this project is going to be over the $580 , 000 amount
existing in the budget, and it will be a separate problem for
someone to raise the additional $ , -$300 ,000 to complete
this project. Chm. Kirsner stated that is correct. Rep. whir
stated that it will be up to the State to come up with the funds.
Chm. Kir ner reiterated the importance that the Commissioner
has given the go ahead on new town beach and that it will not
impact Great Oak funds. The advisory committee won their point
on this with the State.
Bill Martiros asked about the State extending the road at Dead
Neck for handicap parking, and Chm. Kirsner- asked that this
be put on the next agenda.
Laving no other business before it, the meeting adjourned at
45 p.m.
NEXT MEETING: TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 1994. A special meeting with
the Commissioner will take place in two weeks .
Respectfully submitted,
Near- GZelsthorpe
Alternate Board Secretary
