Ben Lof hie, <br /> Bryce McHenry, Jerry Monaghan, Winnifred Woods, <br /> Toni Cahi r <br /> ABSENT: Patrick EMS <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Richard Fleming, South Cape Beach Supervisor, <br /> Jim vacaro, Selectman <br /> The meeting convened at 7 : 00 p. m. <br /> The minutes of meeting of May 9 , 19 were accepted as presented. � <br /> I DISCUSSION OF THE ISSUE OF BUNTING ON SOUTHCAPE BEACH FOR <br /> 1995/96 SEN: <br /> Roland Belliveau spoke as representative of the sportsmen' s <br /> club. He thanked the committee for allowing the sportsmen <br /> to continue hurting on South Cape Beach. Mr. Bellieau in- <br /> dicated that there had been no significant incidents during <br /> the' past hunting season and requested that the committee ad-- <br /> vise the State to approve the policy .of hunting as it has <br /> been permitted during the prior years . <br /> Chm. Kirsner read Richard Fleming' s. written report to the <br /> committee. The report indicated that there had not been any . i <br /> reports of incidents during the past hunting seasn. . Mr, <br /> Fleming rported that due' to construction of .South Cape Beach <br /> during the past hunting season, the hurting' area had been <br /> significantly reduced due to the cons tru tion. Mr. 'Fleming <br /> explained that if hurting should be allowed during the 1995/96 <br /> season, safety zones and signage will be posted throughout <br /> the South Cape Beach area. Patrols will continue' to be made <br /> by department personnel as time and staffing would allow* <br /> i c-us's.i.on -among -the _-member's f the- -committee' -followed re" <br /> lative to whether ruching should be continued in the South <br /> Cape Beach area as it has been in previous gears . <br /> Bruce McHenry -stated that he felt the time was c mix g when <br /> e would. have to look at the issue of .huhti_xlg at South Cape <br /> Bea'ch' Very .'carefully. ' 'He- thinks that eventual ly -hunting <br /> will have to be- curtailed. <br />
