Conroy that the Chairman should conduct a <br /> telephone poll of the absent members to decide the issue. <br /> W. Woods objected, saying that she believed that a telephone poll vote would be <br /> in violation of the Open Meeting Law, and would also set a bad precedent, where full <br /> consideration of the public input and other information given at a public meeting should <br /> be first weighed by all members voting on any motion (which would not be possible for <br /> an absent member later polled). Other members of the Committee felt that the issue of <br /> hunting was well-known to all members and that a telephone poll would be reasonable <br /> under the circumstances. <br /> The previous notion was VOTED.- 5 in favor and 1 opposed. <br /> The Chairman indicated that whatever vote resulted from the poll vote would be <br /> the final result on the issue of hunting on South Cape Beach for the upcoming year.3 <br /> (2) Dear the top of Page 3, after the paragraph beginning " . Woods made a <br /> motion ..."' and ending `,..Town Counsel for an opinion.", insert the following: <br /> "The Chairman did not put said motion to a vote, indicating that he would 1n fact <br /> submit the issue to Town Counsel for an opinion." <br /> F espectf illy submitted, <br />
