.c.B. 6/4/02 PAGE THREE V DISCUSSION OF 10A SITE LEGISLATION: (Continued) Discussion rose relative to possible legal action against DEM to notarize the provisions of Paragraph 17. Mr. Kirsner stated that in the event that progress was not made, that the legislation be filed in November. It right be prudent to meet with the Board of Selectmen and Town Counsel to discus' s the matter. VI JERRY MONAGHAN: letter had been ,mitten to the Board of Selectmen by the committee with a view to having Jerry Monaghan (recently deceased) be made an honorary member of the committee. This was sponsored by reason of Mr. Monaghan' s long term membership and his invaluable contribution to its objectives . However, the board declined to take the recommended action by reason that, "It had not been done before" and that, in their judg- ment, they did not feel that tea precedent should be established , " Selectman Leveille stated that he could get a proclamation from the Board of Selectmen. VII VACANCIES ON THE COMMITTEE: r . Kirsner started there were two openings on the cornmittee. Three applicants have responded to the notice of vacancies : eral n Smith Maxine Wolfset Gus Frederick Mr. Kirsner explained that in al closed session, following the meeting, the committee would vote on the applicants . Each of the applicants had the opportunity to spear and share their views on conservation, hunting, their knowledge of South Cape Beach state Park, and reasons whir they would like to serge on the committee. Tack Cramer made a motion that the Advisory Committee fill the one opening with Jeralyn Smith, and that they hold the second position open until they further advertise the opening.
