.c.B. <br /> 6/4/02 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> V DISCUSSION OF 10A SITE LEGISLATION: (Continued) <br /> Discussion rose relative to possible legal action against DEM <br /> to notarize the provisions of Paragraph 17. Mr. Kirsner <br /> stated that in the event that progress was not made, that the <br /> legislation be filed in November. It right be prudent to meet <br /> with the Board of Selectmen and Town Counsel to discus' s the <br /> matter. <br /> VI JERRY MONAGHAN: <br /> letter had been ,mitten to the Board of Selectmen by the <br /> committee with a view to having Jerry Monaghan (recently <br /> deceased) be made an honorary member of the committee. This <br /> was sponsored by reason of Mr. Monaghan' s long term membership <br /> and his invaluable contribution to its objectives . However, <br /> the board declined to take the recommended action by reason <br /> that, "It had not been done before" and that, in their judg- <br /> ment, they did not feel that tea precedent should be established , " <br /> Selectman Leveille stated that he could get a proclamation <br /> from the Board of Selectmen. <br /> VII VACANCIES ON THE COMMITTEE: <br /> r . Kirsner started there were two openings on the cornmittee. <br /> Three applicants have responded to the notice of vacancies : <br /> eral n Smith <br /> Maxine Wolfset <br /> Gus Frederick <br /> Mr. Kirsner explained that in al closed session, following the <br /> meeting, the committee would vote on the applicants . <br /> Each of the applicants had the opportunity to spear and share <br /> their views on conservation, hunting, their knowledge of South <br /> Cape Beach state Park, and reasons whir they would like to serge <br /> on the committee. <br /> Tack Cramer made a motion that the Advisory Committee fill the <br /> one opening with Jeralyn Smith, and that they hold the second <br /> position open until they further advertise the opening. Michael <br /> ardeiro seconded the motion. All in favor, So moved. <br /> VIII ADJOURNMENT: <br /> Meeting adjourned at 5 : 35 F.
