APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of October 28, 2004 were unanimously approved,
seconded and accepted.
III DISCUSSION OF DRAFT OF MEMO DATED MAY 15 , 2004 PREPARED B
DAVID LEVEILLE TO CHRISTINE GAULT RE. AGREEMENT TO TRANSFER
TEN ACRE SITE FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS TO THE
TOWN OF MA PEE
Tack Cramer stated that it has been determined that the draft
in question was delivered to Christine Gault. It has been read
and commented upon. Jack suggested to Christine during a meet-
ing that she has a different area of responsibility, possibly,
than the committee, a different concept of how pristine the
State property should be maintained. Having read over all of
the documents that started with the Agreement of -1 1, why
this 10 acre site was about to happen, Dill. Marti.res had
reminded Jack Cramer that the reason that this whole 10 acre
site came up was that the State had the concept of putting a
beach down there; i they had to buy 470 odd acres which were
owned by the people who owned New Seabur . For that to hap-
pen, it required the cooperation of the Town and the Committee,
This 10 acre site was sort of a Quid Pro Quo. Theme is no
question that this is supposed to be deeded over to us with no
problems . Everything. does right back to Article Seventeen*
It has been established that this memo in due` tion has been
sent, it has been read, it has been analyzed as to the pros t.
and cons. We are looking for a call from Patrick C stello,
Town Counsel, probably tO Ch3rfxs tine Ga.ul=.t# to try to j ump_
start this issue.
Tack stated that he plans to follow-up with Joyce Mason until
she asks hire not to call anymore. He suspects that the nego-.
tiations will be rather lengthy.
