There hes been a Iojr�n of state legislation <br /> which has caused this bill to be slow in getting through, but the hope is that it will get done by thend of 2006. e <br /> Jack also reported that he met earlier in the da with Joyce IIS <br /> y y Mason. Joyce stated that Pit Costello, <br /> the Mashpee town counsel, and'Nicholas Vontzaldes, the DCR counsel, are working together <br /> the legislators to male sure the bill is moved along. with. <br /> Status Report on.12/07105 AND 04102/06 Letters to Mashpee Board of selectmen Joyce <br /> Mason,and Priscilla ei is{Director of Mate Parks <br /> Jack Cramer stated that in December 2005,, he received ars email from Frank Connelly inquiring <br /> whether we had received responses from the Selectmen er and Priscilla eigis: to the 120 fetter <br /> and follow-up 04/03/06 letter from this committee. The letters voiced conn rn over the intention <br /> of <br /> the 1annpanoag Tribe regarding the South Dope Beach and the South Cape Beach Mate <br /> Park, andaskd for an opinion on possible negotiations w h the ampanoag Tribal Council. <br /> In Jack's meeting today with Joyce Mason he leaped that t the Selectmen hive deeded that the <br /> procedure now to be followed i that ars and all correspondence to or about the I am an a True <br /> from any town commit or official must o through the � <br /> h g Torn d �r��strato� office, Pat Costello <br /> as stated that the 1� ar panoags at this point are biding heir time, not making n statements <br /> about their intentions. Joyce Mason stated that the Warnpanoag have <br /> said they are interested only in surplus land in the town. The <br /> Tribe, however, considers the Mate <br /> Park Beach and the Town Beach as ancestral land. <br /> Bill Martiros stated that he feels this committee should send a letter to Governor Romney, Senators <br /> Kerry and Ken.nedrid other officials down the rine, and express our thoug fits about the State Park <br /> and what we went through to establish � <br /> the parte.
