N arbonne <br /> Carey Murphy Jinn Young <br /> Ke Vin Richardson <br /> Chairperson Jeralyn Smith called the meeting to order at 6.-05.PIM. <br /> REVIEWof MINUTES <br /> The minutes from the October 2 ,,2006 meeting were corrected as.follows: .Com mittee r embers' Warnes <br /> Robert Lancaster and Carey Murphy were deleted from the list of members absent and added to the list <br /> of members present at the meeting. <br /> The minutes as corrected were unanimously approved by the Commiftee, <br /> INTRODUCTION ODUCTION of ALLAN MORRIS <br /> Jeri Smith introduced Allan llllords to the corn rntee es WBN ERR'ERR's new Supervisor of the.South Cape <br /> Beach Mate Parc, following Joe.Souza's rebrement last year. <br /> f <br /> Allan stated that the gate at the entry to the State Park Beach is now open. The$7.00 entry fee is not <br /> being collected as yet becau'se all the ur mer gate staff has not been hired. Fees cannot be collected <br /> until the beach staff i on duty. Whether or not the cape will be able to acquire lifeguards is decided out <br /> of the Regional Office in Carver. Allan a cpepts to hear any day now the decision"from the Regional <br /> Office, and will contact Jeri Smith as soon as he has this information. <br /> Allan explained that stidker or parking fees generated from any Mete park do not go to the Dept. of <br /> Conservation or Recreation, but,go to something called The General Fund, which is a Mate fund. <br /> Allan reported that a Mate Park.Serve Day was held a month ago,with 25 to 35 volunteers participating. <br /> Boards for repair of the ramp down to the beach were laid out, and all stock was cut out in preparation for <br /> rebuilding the ramp. <br /> WILLS WORK ROAD GATE. Jeri Smith stated that the Town is responsible for the opening and closing <br /> of the gate at the entry to the beach at th.e end of the road. There hay been a request to move the entry <br /> gate closer to the entrance to the road. The road is narrow and rutted making it difficult for cars to <br /> navigate safely. It was suggested that Jeri smith contact Joyce Mason to d termoine the status of action <br /> on relocation of the entry gate and the parking lot for the beach. Allan Morris also pr�►n to i nve tig ite the' <br /> Wills Work road gate situation. <br /> DISCUSSION OF HUNTING.IN THE STATE PARK <br /> Dike Cardeiro introduced the mem bers,of the Falmouth Food &Gun C I u b wh6 were present. According to <br /> -Mil # there were no problems or incidents that were reported this past year as alesult of the hunting <br /> privileges. <br /> It was moved and.seconded by the Committee that permission for hunting at South Cape Beach Mate <br /> Park be continued for the coming year. Th6 motion was unanimously appraved. <br />
