He will provide a copy of his budget <br /> request to the south Cape Beach Advisory Committee for its review and commentary. <br /> Gus Frederick reported on an act before the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural <br /> resources &Agriculture, to fully fund the Parrs and Recreational Facilities of the <br /> Commonwealth to retain all new revenues in excess of levels reached in FYE 2007, up t 20 <br /> million or for 10 years, whichever occurs first. Gus Frederick will urge.11tt Patrick, .teff Perry <br /> and other state reps to support this bill. Gus Frederick stated that he would look into a cheaper <br /> way to corner the sandy path from the parking lot to the ramp other than paving. Jeri Snaith <br /> commented that there is also.a wheel.chair made with inflated tires that could navigate the <br /> sandy path to the deck that could be stored in the slued next to the entry to the path. <br /> Jeralyn Snaith went on record that a request be submitted to WBNERR for a copy of the budget <br /> for south Cape Beach State Park. <br /> DISCUSSION WITH SELECTMAN GEORGE "CH CKIE' GREEN <br /> Mr. Green stated that he understood this Committee had some concerns regarding the Tribe's <br /> interest in taking over the South Cape Beach State Park. Mr. Green stated that the True is a <br /> partner under the 1993 Memorandum of Understanding OU and the Tribe is honoring that <br /> IIID which is signed by himself. Part of the IIID states that the Tribe will participate in all <br /> projects under a management Committee which is at WBNERR. Acquisition of land is <br /> something the Tribe is willing to do as well as to add to, but in separation of the Paris in any way. <br /> There is no plan by the Tribe, and no int ntion, to take over the State Park land. The Tribe does <br /> honor that MOU. IIIb. Green stated that the state Park Advisory Committee could obtain a copy <br /> of the I I ID from Town Manager Joyce Mason. Mr. Green stated that he is a Tribal member, <br /> presently the Historic Preservation Officer, he signed the MOU as Vice President of the Tribe, <br /> and he stands behind the MOU. He reiterated-once again that there is no intention by the Tribe <br /> to go after South Cape Beach. <br /> t <br /> Jeralyn Snaith asked lir. Green whether or not he had seen the proposed letter approved by the <br /> Committee at its 9/04/07 meeting to be sent to all State senators and representatives. Mr <br /> Green responded that he had.seen the letter, and had recommended to the Selectmen that the <br /> letter not go out.
