Michael Cardiero Gus Frederick Lance Lambros Been Lofchie Carey Murphy Lewis Newell Steve Pinard CALL To ORDER Chairman Jeralyn Smith called the meeting to order at 6:00 Ply. INTRODUCTION of NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS Jeralyn Smith introduced the two newly appointed Committee members, Steve Pinard and Lewis Newell, whose appointments were confirmed by the Board of Selectmen at the 06/16/08 Bs meeting. APROVE MINUTES of APRIL. 22, 2008 MEETING motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the minutes of the meeting held on April 22, 2008. STATUS REPORT FROM ALLAN MORRIS Jeralyn Smith presented a report prepared by Adan Morris on the status of the state Park Road Repair. Allan Morris reported that the State Park beach was forecast to open officially on June 21, 2008. There is currently a repair project on the road leading to the State Park Beach, which has closed the road until repairs are completed. The state Engineering Division has been working to get bids for work on repair of the damaged culvert in the road. A bid has been accepted, and a contractor selected. Allan's report indicated further that he is waiting for notification that there has been a notice given from the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation to the contractor selected to do the work, to proceed with the work. Once a notice has been issued to the contractor for the work to proceed, the work will be completed in 7 days, starting from the day after the notice hes been issued. Gus Frederick stated that he spoke to Brendan Annear who was expecting the road to be open on June 21, 2008. Gus further reported that Jeff Carter, Mate Waterfront Coordinator for South Cape Beach, had reported that there would be no life guards on the beach this summer. Gus will call Mr. Carter tomorrow to check on the status of lifeguards for the beach for the coming season.
