J SOUTH CAPE BEACH STATE PARK ADVISORY CON VHTTEE
Town Hall
I6 Great Neck Road North
Masbpee,Mass. 02649
SOUTH CAPE BEACH SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 26 , 2003
I MEMBERS PRESENT:
j)(/1 CHAIRMAN MORRIS KTRSNER
CATHERINE CONROY
MICHAEL CARDEIRO
LANCE LAMBROS
BILL MARTIROS
BRUCE MCHENRY /V f0 641
JERALYN SMITH
meeting was called to order at 6 :30 p. m.
TT PROCLAMATION:
Chairman Kirsner explained that he had recently received a
proclamation from the Board of Selectmen for his services as
chairman of the advisory committee. Mr. Kirsner accepted
the proclamation on behalf of the members of the committee ,
past and present and for himself.
ITT TEN ACRE SITE LEGISLATION:
Representative Patrick had prepared Bill # 3596 dated June 16 ,
2003.
V The members of the committee had been requested to present a
r latter to Jeffry D
Hall ,. Chairman of the Legislation Com-
mittee, the State Representative, and to all members of the
Q nWi9 committee. Mr. Kirsner, on behalf of the committee , pre-
Aj pared a letter presenting the committee' s position in detail.
In this letter, Mr. Kirsner made reference to whatever the
conclusion was with the cooperation of DEM and Nick Vontzalides ,
the entire thrust being that the committee had a position
that Paragraph 17 of the Agreement states that there would
be no requirement that the Town of Mashpee pay anything
for the Ten Acre Site. That became an issue because of
policies that were enacted subsequent to the date of the
Agreement which went back twenty--five years which the com-
mittee felt were not applicable, and were not retroactive.
