*APPROVED December 5, 2018* <br /> Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 6, 2017 <br /> 7 <br /> Recreation Department FY2019 Budget: $16,300 Year 1 of 3 <br /> Mary Bradbury, Recreation Director was unable to attend so Town Manager Collins presented <br /> the Recreation Department's budget of capital requests for fiscal year 2019, there are no <br /> prior year obligations for the Recreation Department in the CIP. <br /> ADA Compliant Van Total Funds: $48,900 (over three years) <br /> Mr. Collins stated that this is to replace the current 2004 ADA accessible van that was <br /> purchased in 2004 and now has over 220,000 miles on it. A grant has been pursued to cover the <br /> cost of the van but if the grant does not come through it will be funded from the Recreation <br /> Department's Revolving Fund. Members of the CIP Committee expressed their support of this <br /> item. <br /> After the presentations concluded the Finance Director, Dawn Thayer, recommended to use up <br /> to $1.1 million dollars from "Funds Available for Appropriation" (aka Free Cash) to fund FY 19's <br /> CIP requests and further that the CIP Committee should consider putting $1.1 million dollars <br /> into the Capital Project Stabilization Account. It is generally advised to try to put fifteen percent <br /> of the Free Cash into the CIP Stabilization Account. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion made by Mr. Gottlieb to adjourn at 4:15 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Collins, yes Mr. Gottlieb, yes Mrs. Thayer, yes <br /> Mr. Gasior, yes Mr. Richardson, yes Opposed, none <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Theresa M.
